A Bit About Being a Stay-At-Home Parent

The Personal Bit

So.  Here I am.  Blogging.  Such a funny thing to say considering how long I kept saying I was actually going to do it and now I have.  It only took a large push from some of my family members and for me to finally suck it up and do it. This blog, "The Bit", will be about a lot of different things.  But first, maybe I should let you know a little about who is writing this blog. My name is Alyx.  I grew up in a rural area of Oklahoma surrounded by cow and wheat farms.  I went to college, but never graduated and got married very young.  I moved to Chicago and went to Pastry School, where I did graduate.  I worked my butt off at an internship, got surprised with a pregnancy and got a legit job working at a pastry shop.  The kid came, I went back to work, but hated it. The family packed up and moved to Kansas City, where we now live and I stay at home with my two year old son.  I love to cook, do yoga, hike, camp, read, listen to music and spend time with my kiddo; aka '
